Senior Pastor
 

Roger Parks is Heritage’s first and only pastor in its’ 24-year history. He is a second generation minister who is passionate about his family, practical Bible teaching, shepherding his flock, missions and young people. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Bible from Tennessee Temple College and attended Temple Baptist Theological Seminary.

Pastor Parks and his wife, Carol, have three adult children, two grandchildren and a Boston terrier named Quincy. Carol is a talented teacher, musician, writer and speaker. Together they have served in Christian ministry since 1979.

When he’s not at the church, Pastor Parks can usually be found riding his bicycle on one of Autauga County’s back-roads, playing basketball or visiting family in Tennessee.

 
 
Assistant Pastor
 

Ben Richey serves as the Assistant Pastor for Heritage.  In 2010 he received his Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School and was called to join Heritage at that time.  He has been involved with Heritage over the past 14 years as a student, volunteer, and an intern before becoming an assistant pastor.  His formal training includes a BA in Youth Ministry from Moody Bible Institute, a Master of Divinity degree from Beeson Divinity School, and class work at both Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Ben served as a full time youth and worship leader in Ohio for six years before returning to Alabama to complete his Masters of Divinity.

Ben and his wife Heather have been serving together in ministry since 2002.  They have two children, Mikaela and Christopher. Ben enjoys playing his guitar, writing music and stories, drawing, and spending time with Heather and their children.

 
 
Youth Pastor
 

Keith Edwards leads our Student Ministry having joined the Heritage staff in 2003. Pastor Keith loves reaching and teaching the student age group and has been involved in youth ministry for 17 years. Prior to coming to Prattville, Keith served for 15 years in the US Army Band System and the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps.  His theological training is from Andersonville Baptist Theological Seminary.

Pastor Keith and his wife, Diana, have four children and spend much of their free time taxiing them to their various activities. Diana is currently Active Guard Reserve and is the Battalion Career Counselor in Montgomery.  They are both accomplished musicians and are members of the Prattville Pops community band.

Pastor Keith leads an exciting Word of Life club Student Youth Ministry, annual mission’s trips (France, Germany, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Canada and Mexico), camps and retreats.

 
 
Children's Director
 

LeAnn Schannep is the Children’s Director at Heritage. She is originally from Michigan but moved to California as a teenager. She attended Fresno State University where she received her degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Child and Family Studies. She then received her elementary teaching credential and taught in the public school system for 3 ½ years before becoming a stay at home mom.   She has always been active in ministry, teaching Sunday School, VBS, serving on various committees, and going on several missions trips.

LeAnn is married and has four children. She loves spending time with her family and spends most of her free time cheering on her kids at various athletic events. She also enjoys boating and reading. Above all else she loves the Lord and has a passion for sharing the love of Jesus with the children at Heritage.
