College and Young Adults Ministry

 

Prattville is not known as a college town.  But with Montgomery so close, Prattville has many college students who commute to the schools in Montgomery.  Likewise, Prattville has many young adults who have opted to pursue careers and on the job education as opposed to a formal university education.  Heritage wants to be a place for both of these groups to come together for fellowship, worship, growth, accountability, and discipleship.  While this is a fairly new ministry at HBC, we see the great need for ministry to young adults, and the great potential that is in this community.  Currently we meet during Sunday School for an in depth examination of God's guide for life.  We are hoping to expand beyond this in the near future and begin meeting during the week for Bible study, relational ministry, and worship.  Throughout the year we will have activities, trips, and service opportunities as well.  The college and young adult ministry is headed by our Assistant Pastor, Ben Richey, a youth ministry veteran with a heart for student ministry and the struggles of those in this time of transition.  If you're looking for a place to belong where you will be stretched and challenged come and hang out with us, come and grow with us!
